Education/Training
BA in Regional Analysis, University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. 1973. Courses included many art courses including ceramics and watercolor. Have taken a variety of painting workshops.

Art Experience
House Portraits - Began painting House Portraits for the Wheat Agency in 1994. Have painted more than 100 for the agency and individuals.
Greeting cards - Have created a series of greeting cards using my images of local buildings and structures, flowers, cats, and bridges and boat launch sites.
Demonstrations - “Water and Watercolors,” a watercolor demonstration, as part of the Water Workshops, Southeast Steuben Library, August 10, 2010. Demonstrated copper enameling as part of GlassFest in Corning, NY, Memorial Day weekends in 2011 and 2012
Art Auctions - Have donated numerous paintings to benefit the 171 Cedar Arts Center Artful Raffle, the Spencer Crest Nature Center, Arnot Art Museum, Corning Southside Neighborhood Association, the Nonnie Hood Parent and Family Resource Center, and the Robert Rockwell foundation.
Hours of Art Festivals - A joint inspiration with her daughters Amelia Harnas and Adriana Kramer in 2011, the Hours of Art began with the celebration of Jennifer's 60th birthday – five days @ twelve hours each of creative collaboration with other artists. 64 Hours of Art will be celebrated in the summer of 2015. www.HoursFestivals.com.
Recycled Runway - Created gowns from old plastic tarps, feathers, plastic communion cups, bird netting, women's handkerchiefs and other found and castoff materials for The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes gala fundraiser since its inception in 2013 to present.

When not painting, Jennifer enjoys tapping trees to make maple syrup, spinning, paddling on the rivers of the Chemung Valley, and splitting logs to keep the home fires burning.
Jennifer lives with her photographer/sculptor husband Noel Sylvester and their two dogs at Beulahland, their home, art gallery and artist retreat in Risingville, NY.
